Archaeological findings in the area of ​​influence of HidroItuango

A roller from the Late Period (9th - 16th centuries) was one of the findings at the Angelina Site located in the Municipality of Buriticá, Antioquia.

The Archeology group, which is part of the Management and Environmental Studies area of Integral, indicates that the element was made in clay and for its decoration "incision and excision techniques were used before the firing"..

The presence of this discovery in the archaeological record of the project reveals the presence of potters and weavers in the ancestral communities of the region of the Cauca river canyon. Likewise, the use of natural dyes from plants and soils is inferred.

The archeology program of Hidroituango, which is very important for the project, includes activities of prospecting, monitoring and rescue, in order to identify and preserve intact the sites used by former residents of the area of influence of the construction.
